Assignment 4: Analogue/Metaphore II
I was inspired to shoot a moment of silence of my refrigerator door open in the middle of the night. I was inspired to shoot an everyday moment from last weeks class of students sharing their breakfast. Capturing the everyday things in life makes you appreciate it more.
To make an Analog of this low key image, I recreated the photograph using light and shapes. I focused on getting the composition correct and lighting the same. Looking at the images together, you can feel the similar with it's light dark ratio. I did not want to recreate the items in the refrigerator because I wanted to focus on the lighting and general shape shown in the image.
This weeks reading seemed a lot like poetry. One of the things I was thinking about was how many things can be comparable to blue. A color can be related all sorts of analogies.
