In my studies for my bachelors degree in photography at Columbia College Chicago, I took a commercial photography course with Bill First as my professor. First has been in the commercial photography field for decades and has a lot of experience working with food and beverages. He gave me a lot of insight in creating product photography.
My project was photographing Japanese drinks and snacks from Mitsuwa Marketplace. I explored creating commercial work of ramune, matcha cookies and pocky. My personal favorite photographs I made of this project are the strawberry and blueberry ramune. I hope to explore doing more commercial work outside music photography in the future.
